Teaching Resources & Materials
Teachers need practical materials to bring into the classroom: activities, exercises, and teaching materials built around how Persian is actually learned, not adapted from templates designed for other languages.
We're building out our library of Persian teaching resources and teacher resources along these lines. Teachers interested in what's currently available are welcome to get in touch.

Persian Teacher Training & Professional Development
Teaching Persian as a foreign language calls for more than fluency in the language. It requires understanding how Persian is best introduced to new learners, how the script and grammatical structure shape a learner's early progress, and how instruction should be sequenced as learners advance.
Persian Prime's approach to Persian instructor training is grounded in the study of Persian language pedagogy and the practical realities of the classroom. It is intended to support both teachers early in their practice and experienced instructors looking to strengthen their approach to teaching Persian.
We are actively developing this area of our work and welcome inquiries from teachers and institutions interested in professional development.

Persian Language Curriculum & Lesson Planning
Structuring a Persian course — a single class or a full syllabus — involves decisions about sequencing, pacing, and learning objectives that are specific to Persian.
Our work in this area supports individual teachers and classrooms in curriculum and lesson planning: how a Persian syllabus can be structured across levels, how lesson plans can be built around clear learning objectives, and how course planning can account for the particular challenges Persian presents to new learners.
This is distinct from institutional program design. Teachers looking to structure their own classroom curriculum will find that focus here; universities and institutions building a Persian program at an institutional level should refer to our For Universities page.
Teaching Persian in Digital and Online Settings
Online and blended Persian instruction is increasingly common, and it introduces its own considerations — presenting the Persian script clearly on screen, structuring spoken practice remotely, and keeping digital tools in service of language learning rather than a distraction from it. Our approach to methodology and resources applies to online and in-person teaching alike.

Persian Proficiency Assessment & Placement
Evaluating Persian proficiency is a distinct skill from teaching it. Teachers and programs need reliable ways to place new students at an appropriate level and track progress as learners advance.
Our approach to Persian proficiency assessment accounts for the specific skills involved — reading and writing in the Persian script, listening comprehension, and spoken fluency — in both initial placement testing and ongoing evaluation.
